Vasa Museum opened in 1990 and displays the only almost fully intact 17th century ship that has ever been salvaged, the 64-gun Warship Vasa sunken in August 1628. On 7 floors one gets insight to the ship and learns about the hard life of both seamen and soldiers. The displays don’t only show a masterpiece of ship, explain its construction (and problems) but also give some historical background and bring people of long time ago to life.

The ship was fully painted and decorated
